Physicians helping physicians! UT Medical Group has a 24-hour toll-free consultation service exclusively for health care professionals.  A call to our Physicians Consultation Service connects you with skilled specialists to assist physicians with complex medical issues and facilitate referrals.

Call 901-866-8843 or toll free 888-441-8865 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  The UTMG physician in the requested specialty or the specific doctor is paged to respond promptly to the calling physician. Use the Physicians Consultation Service to:

  • Arrange patient transfers (24-hour direct access)
  • Identifying appropriate specialists for consultation
  • Make referrals
  • Find contacts for scheduling appointments
  • Discuss patients or patient-related problems
  • Discuss ideas, procedures or protocols with colleagues
  • Get advice about medication
  • Get emergency information.
